The day to climb Mount Kinabalu has arrived.
Although the lack of prctices, we have to go for it,
after all we've paid for it

We've decided to start from Mesilau Trail - 2km longer than Timpohon Trail but really really nice scenery

Bought the 'kayu' before we start our journey,
our guide ffk, so we have to get another guide.
We didnt wait for the new guide to come, but go first on our own

And so the journey begins.
I will always remember that even though there's no guide, God is our guide.
As we journey, we are journeying and climbing with Him.

their "yuk gon" is thick and tasty
their almond & peanut tong sui is nice
their fish porridge is also very nice
~ most of the shops in Macau are very small and compact,
there's only two tables and you are not allow to sit outside the shop.

I wanted to take 'stars' but didn't manage to capture it. There are countless stars in the skies and it's really really nice.
This picture is taken during night safari - in the boat, looking for nocturnal creatures.

Morning Safari

Everywhere we go, we have to wear boots cause it's so muddy. Water level comes up to our knees. So hard to walk, I really prefer rubber shoes. If they have smaller sizes, i don't mind wearing it but no choice.

Ya i wish i could swing from trees to trees, but this one just one tree only haha

I'm glad we came here for the experience.
We got to see quite a lot of creatures.
It's not like zoo, where the animals are there for you to see.
This one, if you are lucky, you get to see them.
And you need to put effort in searching for it :)
3 days , 2 nights just enough
I bet you don't want to stay longer cause i just wiped myself there,
didn't really take a proper bath cause there's no proper toilets :)
The package already include night trek, night safari, morning trek and morning safari so it's enough :)

White Water Rafting at Kampar River

My first time trying white water rafting.
I always wanted to try.
When we went to Chiang Mai last year, we really wanted to go water rafting but time doesn;t permits us to do so.
This time i tried.

The trainer briefed us before we go into the boat.
He asked us one by one to go into the river and try.
So that if the boat capsize we know what to do.
Even if you know how to swim, you will be scared.
I'm scared...no joke.
The current pulled you down, you can't come up.
Now I understand why people died in water rafting.
It is because you are stuck underneath the rock and the current sucks you in.
The one that we tried is grade 1-3, grade 4-5 is really deep.
I enjoyed the adventure but my heart still feel a bit scared.
This river is a good start for beginners, it's not that bad :)

Although the photos are a bit blur, but it's good enough to capture the big big bungalows in Medan, which you will never find in Malaysia.
The bungalows here are not just the normal type but it's specially designed.
All the bungalows in this housing area looks different.
Most of it looks like a palace, a temple or pinky wedding cake.

In Medan, either you are very rich or very poor.
The poor people here roam around in the street, knock on your car window and ask for money.
The rich people here have too much to spent, they decorated thier houses like a palace. They owned at least 7 or more maids, some to take care of the house, some to care for the baby or children.
Thier maids are more than the family staying in the house.

Check out the beach.
Along the beach, they build 'pondok' for people to relax and have picnics there.

You will never grow hungry staying in Medan.
The FOOD here ia finger lickin' good.
For example Chicken Rice - they add in egg, 'lap chiong', sweet sause to make it tastier.
No wonder I put on weight :)

We stayed in a friend's place and her house got foosball.
Yay, we played non-stop
